Job Description

Type of role(s):   Treasurer

Location: the role can be performed remotely though occasional meetings in our Shoreditch office would be welcomed

Further details about the role: It would be ideal for our treasurer to have relevant leadership experience needed for financial options and decisions.  A finance or audit background is essential as the treasurer needs a thorough understanding of the financial reports and will need to be able to ask auditors and accountants the right questions.Good communication skills are also essential.The treasurer should be able to translate financial information and financial concepts for the board. The treasurer doesn’t necessarily have to present the financial reports at board meetings, but they may need to help to explain and re-frame until everyone understands the reports. It’s also the treasurer’s role to interpret and translate the board’s questions, goals or concerns about the financial information or financial situation to the staff.
